Northern Ireland has proven to be the birthplace of blockbuster movies, popular TV series, and everything in between.
With establishments like the Royal Door Games and organizations like Belfast Harbor Studios putting Belfast on the map as the center of the film industry, it’s no surprise that celebrities appear more often in the city.
Kevin Hart appreciated what Belfast had to offer while filming his new Netflix movie “Lift” and in 2021 he hosted many stars like Taylor Swift and Carrie Washington.
After exploring places in the UK where you might not know how to shoot your favorite show/movie, Betway has ranked Belfast as one of the best filming locations known for its stardom.
They said: “Northern Ireland has built a reputation on the production set as a backdrop for excellent cinematography, thanks to cult shows like Game of Thrones, Line of Duty and Derry Girls.
Streaming services have also been launched in Northern Ireland, including the upcoming Netflix heist comedy Elevator, starring American actor Kevin Hart, who was just filming in the capital, as well as the children’s fantasy film School for Good. and Evil. It was also filmed in Belfast and will be streamed on Netflix later this year.

However, it may come as a surprise to find that Kenneth Branagh’s latest film, Belfast, was filmed primarily in England, where the lockdown prevented filming in the Northern Ireland capital.
They continued, “The movie ‘Belfast’ delivered a great performance from the city, which will help attract big production.”
It is also known that Belfast doubled the size of other British cities, such as Marseille in London and the Nottingham service line.
