The biggest entrepreneurship event in the south of Spain, again this year, confirms itself as “a benchmark” at the national level. Taking place this Tuesday and Wednesday in Granada, Alhambra Venture kicked off with a day of presentations and activities that brought entrepreneurs and investors face to face.

Promoted by Ideal, the meeting brought together “startups” from different provinces and countries, as well as speakers such as Jason E. Klein, founder and CEO of On Grid Ventures LLC, and attendees from known as Albert Rivera, former leader of Ciudadanos and businessman, who described Alhambra Venture as “one of the best events in Spain”.

During the day, presentations like that of Juan Montoya, co-founder and current CEO of Rokk3r, who announced his company’s $500,000 grants to Andalusia, stood out. Examples of successful inventions were also presented on the podium of the Palacio de Congresos, such as the case of the Wallbox smart battery for cars, talked about by José María Tarrago, partner and director of the above-mentioned company.

In addition, Alhambra Venture organized a table on venture capital funds in which three ‘startups’ reported their experiences with the support of the Andalusian government. On the other hand, the entrepreneur and investor Francisco Ávila, together with Manolo Castillo, director of “Diario Sur”, starred in the dialogue “From Zero to Private Equity: MEDAC”, in which they emphasized that “the essential thing” in any project is “who behind it, the ‘timing’ and the execution».

Alhambra Venture continues its journey on Wednesday, July 13 with its second day, which will feature high-level speakers such as José Zudaire, General Manager of ASCRI (Spanish Association of Capital, Growth and Investment), or David Giner, CEO and Co-Founder by Ufounders. On this second day, personal meetings between investors and entrepreneurs will be repeated to promote the financing of new interesting projects.
