For the second time, Sebastian Kurz has published a statement on the online social network Facebook. The ex-chancellor does not want to let the vehement allegations of former Secretary-General of Finance Thomas Schmid be turned upside down. He strongly denies the serious allegations.
Since the publication of audio recordings that are supposed to refute Schmid’s statements, more and more details about the cause have become known. Thursday morning, Kurz posted another message on Facebook trying to deny guilt and compassion.
Ex-Chancellor Kurz’s Facebook post in full:
Yesterday my lawyer handed over a tape recording to the WKStA. This does not only show that Thomas Schmid has told the WKStA untruth. It also gives a deep insight into the character of a person who makes false accusations against others in hopes of getting away with being a key witness. This tape caused his house of false accusations to collapse in less than 24 hours. One thing is clear: all allegations against me will prove false! Like Wolfgang Sobotka, I will also defend myself legally against Thomas Schmid.
