The PNV would grow in votes and again remain one council member out of the absolute majority, while EH Bildu would overtake the PSE-EE as the second force.
The PNV would once again be at the gates of an absolute majority in Bilbao’s 28 million municipal elections, paving the way for Jeltzale candidate and current mayor, Juan Mari Aburto, to win a third term in office , according to the EITB Focus macro survey, which comes just over a week before the election.
The jelzale formation would increase the percentage of votes obtained four years ago (it would gain 45.2%, compared to 43.1% in the last election), but would keep the same number of councillors, 14, to one of the absolute majority .
In second place, but a distance from first, would be EH Bildu, who would improve on the 2019 results and lead the PSE-EE with 5 representatives (one more) and 17.3% of the vote (2.2 points more). .
Exactly, the Socialist Party would get the same number of councillors, 5, but would lose 0.6 points in vote percentage, rising to 15.5%.
For its part, the PP would save pressure from Vox and trace the results of 2019: 3 councilors and a 9.4% support from the electorate.
The Elkarrekin Coalition would drop 3.5 points in the vote percentage (it would be 7.1%) and one representative would be left by taking 2.
Finally, Vox would not be able to get into the city council, despite doubling its support compared to 2019 (it would have 2.5% of the vote, compared to 1.2% four years ago).
