Big bummer in the budget – where the state government’s millions go

Inflation, rising food prices, exorbitant rents: all this worries the inhabitants of Carinthia. But the state of Carinthia is also dealing with the consequences of numerous crises in the 2023 budget. That is why the “Krone” took a closer look at the operating budget and spoke to Gaby Schaunig, Finance Minister, about the challenges.

True to the government program of the sustainability coalition, finance officer Gaby Schaunig presented the budget for 2023 in the Carinthia state parliament on Monday. “The state budget stands for sustainable development, stability and social balance,” explains Schaunig. But will the Carinthians really be relieved with the working budget for 2023?
