Party conference in Graz – Styrian FPÖ prepares for elections

Date:

Waving flag and anthem: On Saturday morning, the Styrian FPÖ started its state party conference – the last one before the state elections. Support for party leader Mario Kunasek came from federal chairman Herbert Kickl and the third chairman of the National Council, Norbert Hofer. In the end, there was a clear mood.

Mario Kunasek, Federal President Herbert Kickl and 471 delegates were warmly welcomed by a brass band in front of the Graz exhibition hall. Then we went to the refrigerated exhibition hall, where in the afternoon the blue officials charted the course for the future of the Styrian feast.

In the end, Mario Kunasek was elected the new, old party leader with 96.6 percent of the vote. “The Kunasek era begins, while the Schützenhöfer era ends,” says Herbert Kickl about “Krone”. They are perfectly prepared for the upcoming elections. The mood was correspondingly good and gave a sense of departure after numerous scandals (most recently the “financial affair” in Graz).
