EH Bildu’s general coordinator has stated that his training “has nothing to do with the incidents” nor that he has “any political interest” in them. “We have the right to talk about the police model. What is the problem if we talk about the police model?” he emphasized.
The general coordinator of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegihas called what Mr Erkoreka has done ‘outrageous’ and challenged him that ‘if he has proof, he should go to court, otherwise he is lying’.
Erkoreka stated on Tuesday that the incidents at the Real Sociedad and Athletic Cup matches and at the March 3 demonstration in Vitoria are “no coincidence” at a pre-electoral moment and that “someone organized them”.
“Who is interested in playing a double game and presenting a civilized image in the shop window and in the backroom to adopt this strategy that could erode coexistence and perhaps other political formations as well?” he asked. “I don’t have the answer, but I do have suspicions,” was the response.
Otegi stated in an interview on Tele7, according to a note from EH Bildu, that his training “has nothing to do with the incidents”, nor does he have “any political interest” in it. ‘We have the right to talk about it police model. “What is the problem when we talk about the police model? We are going to have this debate calmly,” he added.
The Abertzale leader opined that Erkoreka is “trying to suggest something that is untrue. Perhaps Mr Erkoreka’s problem is that has no control over the police sector. “Making these kinds of statements is very irresponsible.”
“Do they want to cloud the election campaign? “Someone is going to try to cloud the field so they don’t talk about Osakidetza and the real problems of the people,” he said.
