However, the lawyer has admitted that there is a possibility that the former Catalan president will be arrested –cannot rule out a new arrest warrant in the ‘Tsunami Democràtic’ terrorism case – but he stressed that Puigdemont will ‘take the consequences of his decisions’.
In this sense, he recalled that the amnesty law is clear in excluding from the pardon measure of terrorist crimes included in European regulations and involving violations of fundamental rights, “not just nonsense.”
“They can arrest him, but they will not stop him from becoming president of the Generalitat if he wants to,” Boye insisted, after emphasizing that.
