The meetings of the various parties represented in the Basque Chamber with the Lehendakari Imanol Pradales begin. Today he receives the spokesmen of Sumar, and tomorrow it is the turn of PP and PSE-EE. EH Bildu and PNV meet Pradales next week.
The Lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, will begin his round of talks with political parties of the Basque Parliament next Thursday (13:00), with Sumar. After that first meeting, he will receive the PP and the PSE-EE, member of the Executive, on Friday; on Monday 15 July he will meet with EH Bildu, the main opposition party, and on Tuesday he will receive the PNV, the majority party in the government. Vox is not included in the contacts.
By means of Addcandidate Alba García and parliamentarian Jon Hernández will attend the meeting. Like the rest of the opposition groups, the left-wing coalition will prioritize the commitment to public health. In addition, it states that the housing problem must be addressed and will ask for a tourist tax to be levied in the municipalities with the most visitors.
The Lehendakari wants to discuss with the Basque parties a joint reflection on the priorities and challenges of the country and establish a working methodology. Marks the pact on the health care system, objective of both Lehendakari and the new Minister of Health, Alberto Martínez.
Pradales himself reiterated this Monday his “willingness to dialogue and agreement” in this round of contacts and reiterated that the “first objective” he will propose is to promote a pact on the health system, an area that Basque society demands “to leave outside the borders of the partisan dispute”. Trust that “There are reeds to do it.”
Questions were also asked during the meetings with the formations about with self-governmentand other issues that party representatives can bring to the table. “We need to give them the opportunity to show what the priorities are that they bring to these meetings.”
The competition round is followed by a series of meetings with socio-economic actors.
