Bonucci made three dismissals and avoided defeat for Juventus

Date:

In a game with a very controversial ending, a goal by Leonardo Bonucci in the 93rd minute Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus avoided defeat against Davide Nicola’s Salernitana (2-2). Milik scored what would have been the winning goal for Juventus, but, amid much controversy, the referee disallowed it for offside. In a heated finish, Milik, Allegri, Fazio and Cuadrado were shown the red card.

This tie leaves Juventus, 8th, 5 points behind the teams occupying the leadership of Serie A, Napoli and Milan. La Salernitana, who played a good game at the Allianz Stadium, is 10th.

The truth is that Juventus started very well, with good football. But it was Salernitana who advanced. He did it in the 18th minute. After a mistake by Cuadrado, Mazzocchi took the ball and, after a one-on-one with McKennie, he sent the ball in for Antonio Candreva to score. The goal was awarded after the game was reviewed by VAR for a possible handball.

Juventinos tried to react and Dusan Vlahovic had a goal disallowed for offside in the 39th minute. Through Bremer’s hand, the referee signaled a penalty against Allegri’s men and Piantek converted it to 0-2 stoppage in the first half (45+5′).

The situation became very dark for Juventus. The second half started with hope for the Turinese: Bremer (football gives and football takes away) closed the gap in the 51st minute, taking advantage of a good cross from Kostic that Vlahovic couldn’t reach.

2-1 and almost the entire second half for Juventus to complete their comeback. But until stoppage time at least the black and whites saved a Vilhena penalty point from Alex Sandro, who was superb when he converted. Sepe missed the penalty, but took advantage of the rebound to make it 2-2.

Juventus unleashed their epic and in the 95th minute Milik scored, but the referee consulted VAR and disallowed the goal.
