Marseille, slowed by Monaco, could not finish second

Monaco fought at the Vélodrome and prevented the return of Marseille, who after six consecutive victories in Ligue 1 had to settle for a draw (1-1) achieved by Chilean Alexis Sánchez.

The score leaves things as before and benefits the leader, Paris Saint Germain, who after the draws of Lens, second to two points, Marseille, third to fourth, and Monaco, fourth to ninth, can extend their distance to first place if they win this Sunday in Rennes.
