The new version of the Ferrari SF-23 will see the light at Imola

The Maranello team is working hard to solve the problems of the current car and face the rest of the campaign with the aim of challenging the Red Bull RB19 and positioning itself as a potential second team, which is now in the hands of Aston Martin.

The changes, according to Motorsport.com, are: a new front end and a rear suspension that should improve ground clearance thanks to an antisquat effect under acceleration, but the SF-23 is also destined to change shape, so there may be changes in the bass.

The bounce forced Ferrari to raise the rear of its car to avoid damage when hitting curbs and tarmac, which in turn caused a significant loss of downforce. With less load, less energy also reaches the tires and tire wear worsens.

In Maranello they remain convinced that the car’s potential is greater than seen so far, and for this reason the changes have the main purpose of enhancing the “hidden” characteristics of the red car.

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz they have to drive defensively: in Melbourne there will be news, but they won’t be too important. We will have to wait until Imola to see if all this work they are doing now at Ferrari bears fruit or, on the contrary, the team ends up exploding internally due to the lack of results and the constant disappointment.
