Jon Rahm acknowledged Tuesday that there are still many aspects players don’t know about the merger. between the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour and the controversial Saudi LIV Golf.
“There are so many unresolved questions that I don’t want to waste any time at this point. thinking about it because there are many ‘what ifs’ and questions”, reflected the Spanish golfer in a press conference.
Rahm spoke to the media ahead of the Travelers Championship, a new event on the PGA Tour that will take place from Thursday to Sunday at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell (Connecticut, USA).
World number 2 and champion of this year’s Augusta Masters, Rahm comes into this tournament after finishing last week in tenth position at the US Open thanks to a great comeback on the last day after three first rounds where he was not at his best.
However, the PGA Tour’s union with LIV Golf continues to be a major topic of conversation in the golf world despite the fact that Barrika’s man pointed out that he didn’t discuss that topic much at the US Open.
“I didn’t really talk about it last week. I think I will know more in a few hours once we have a players’ meeting tonight,” he said.
“I don’t think we’ll get many answers but I’ll at least have an idea of where the membership address is.. That’s all I can say. We don’t know anything. I don’t know if the people in charge know more than us,” he added.
