Landa: “Winning in the Pyrenees was crazy”

Date:

Michael Landa (Bahrain Victorious), eleventh overall in the Tour, 22 seconds behind the leader, the British adam yatesthe first three stages in the Basque Country ended with optimism, without wasting time, and with high expectations for the coming days in the Pyrenees.

“I am optimistic for the future. I came in with some doubts about how these first episodes might turn out, but I held my own without wasting timeI see myself with confidence”, said Landa at the finish line in Bayonne.

Before the next arrival in the Pyrenees, Landa stressed that this year they will arrive soon, but he hopes to “continue in this line and do well”.

“I don’t have a marked stageI don’t know what can happen, but I can try, even if it’s difficult. Winning in Cauterets is madness, but Vingegaard and Pogacar also want to win. If not, to see if Marie Blanche’s day is possible”, commented.

Regarding the Bayonne stage, Landa described it as “a nervous day, with a calm start, but with a rather tense finish”.
