Richard Freeman, who was struck off the British medical register in January, admitted 18 of the 22 charges against him but denied the main allegation relating to the subject of an order for Testogel, a hormone treatment used to treat the symptoms associated with the deficiency. testosterone.

He claimed at the time that testosterone was prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction by former performance director Shane Sutton, which Sutton denied.

Tuesday’s sentence “proves that Richard Freeman has breached the United Kingdom’s anti-doping rules,” UKAD executive director Jane Rumble explained on the British agency’s website, adding that “the rules are established to guarantee that the whole world contributes to keeping sport clean and that all athletes are on an equal footing”.
