Dozens of Eintracht and Rangers radicals fight for hours before the last chairs and umbrellas are thrown in a massive showdown
Dozens of German and Scottish fans got into an argument in the center of Seville on Wednesday afternoon, three hours before the Europa League final. During the confrontation between Eintracht and Rangers, radicals, chairs and bottles were thrown and umbrellas were used as shields.
The battle surprised a National Police car next to the San Bernardo Bridge, which was surrounded by dozens of fans from both teams. The agents must have used their shields to protect a passerby. The police vehicle sustained broken windows while fans of Eintracht and Rangers were involved in violent incidents in an area open to traffic.
On Tuesday evening, five German fans were arrested for assaulting several Scottish fans and then throwing bottles and torches at the police on Paseo de Colón.
