Pep Guardiola The Manchester City coach, was named the best coach in the Premier League after securing his fourth consecutive title on Sunday.
Guardiola won votes over Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Andoni Iraola, from Bournemouth, to Unai Emery, of Aston Villa, who Jurgen Klopp, from Liverpool. Four of the five nominees are Spanish and three are Basque.
“I would like to share this award, especially with Mikel Arteta for the incredible job he did until the last game, pushing us to the limit,” said Guardiola.
“I want to remember too Klopp, for the memorable battles we have had over the years and Unai Emery, for achieving something as incredible as getting Aston Villa into the Champions League. And of Andoni Iraolawith Bournemouth, for what he did in his first season in the Premier League2.”
“It is an honor to be with him and to win this trophy. We will defend this award as much as possible in the future,” Guardiola concluded.
This is the fifth time that Guardiola has won this title, after also achieving it in the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21 and 2022-23 seasons, and he is the second most prolific coach in history, behind only Alex Fergusonwho won it eleven times with Manchester United.
