Ajax Amsterdam is close to hiring its coach for next season after reaching a severance agreement with Nice to let him go Francesco Farioli. At 35 years old, the Italian coach is expected to sign a three-year contract with the historic Dutch club in the coming days.
Farioli, linked to Nice until 2025, swill be replaced John van ‘t Schip after a bad season for Ajax, which came last in the Eredivisie and finished in fifth place, its worst final classification since 2000, although it helped access the Europa League.

Ajax Nice will be paid 1.25 million euros as compensation. according to NOS.nl, for Farioli to become the first foreign coach at the club since the Dane Morten Olsen in 1997.
