The Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, together with the García Peralta and Horta Sud foundations, promotes the “Solidarity on wheels” project, with the main objective of direct assistance to those affected by the DANA disaster to regain their mobility through delivery, when right away as much as possible, of light vehicles that will allow them, as soon as possible, to face their daily journey in the closest environment of tragedy.
“Solidarity on wheels” is based on two main actions: the raising of economic resources, through donations to the García Peralta Foundation, in order, with these resources from individuals and the collaboration of many companies in the sector of automotive, among others, obtain the greatest number of motorcycles possible and, on the other hand, the direct donation, which will be delivered to the victims through the Horta Sud Foundation, of light vehicles of all types, in this case also vehicles in addition to motorcycles, bicycles and scooters.
The act of solidarity could not have started at a better start and, at this time and without hardly realizing it, more than one million euros was raised from more than a hundred donors, who allowed the acquisition, for the imminent donation this. of over a hundred vehicles. Deliveries, in addition, and in collaboration with companies from the respective sectors, will be made with vehicles insured for three months, the corresponding taxes already paid and helmets for the users.
The initiative has the support of celebrities from the world of sports and business, including Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz Sr., Carlos Sainz Jr., Pedro Martínez de la Rosa, Jorge Martínez Aspar, Alex Palou, Marc Gené, Nani Roma , Dani Sordo, Fabio Quartararo, Nerea Martí, and Roberto Merhi, among many others who came together to promote this goal of unity.
