Manchester United have announced Lisandro Martinez

It’s official: the Argentine defender Lisandro Martínez became Manchester United’s new player this Sunday. The Old Trafford club are paying Ajax 55 million euros (57 including unity payments) and 10 in variables for the Argentinian international. United announced the signing “subject to medical examination and completion of his personal conditions and the visa issue.”

Until now, the Ajax player has signed a contract until 2027 with the option to renew it for another season. Erik ten Hag has named United’s new manager and former coach of the Amsterdam team, became key for the operation to be performed.

Lisandro Martínez will be United’s third signing by Erik ten Hag at this summer market. Left-back Tyrell Malacia (to whom United paid Feyenoord € 15m) and Christian Eriksen (who is free) are the two previous signings from the Old Trafford club in the current market.
