As we expected a few weeks ago in Mundo Deportivo, the CTA has recovered this year face-to-face meetings with the First and Second Division squads after overcoming the most difficult moments arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this way, the CTA has made available to each club a referee of the same category or higher to personally explain refereeing news and rules for the season that is about to begin. A master class before the league starts. Meetings that have already started with clubs from the same category.
In the First Division, the first clubs to receive this training were Getafe, by the specific First Division VAR referee Santiago Jaime Latre, and Rayo Vallecano, by the First Division referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias. The visit will be made whenever a gap appears during the teams’ intense preseason. In the case of Real Madrid, the goal is that international Del Cerro Grande will make this visit. In the case of Fútbol Club Barcelona it will be, and since it currently does not have a Catalan referee in the First Division, one of the three referees in the Second Division.
In the case of the Second Division, the two Asturian teams have already received this visit, both Real Sporting de Gijón and Oviedo with the presence of the First Division referee Pablo González Fuertes and Víctor Areces Franco respectively
