from 10 to 31 October. Likewise, the television campaign will be accompanied by activities in the digital environment and presence in social networks.

The Industrial Director of the Renault Group and President-General Manager of the Renault Group in Spain, José Vicente de los Mozos, is “proud” of what the company’s new model, the Austral, represents, which he has described as the vehicle ” most made in Spain in the history of the group». This was stated during the presentation of the vehicle launch site at the Villamuriel de Cerrato plant (Palencia), attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors,
Alfonso Fernandez Manuelaand the mayor of Palencia,
Mario Simonamong other authorities, and where the CEO of Renault, Alpine and Mobilize Iberia also spoke,
Sebastien Guigues; the director of the Iberia Vehicle Industrial Pole and director of the factory,
Jose Martin Vegas and the director of the Renault Group’s R&D center in Valladolid,
Jose Gonzalez For.

De los Mozos has assured that today is an “important” day for Renault in Spain. “We are someone, you are someone. 90 percent of production is exported, generates
more than 100,000 jobs and represents 1.2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product«, he recalls to underline that the most important thing is that the group »fulfills what it promises« and »does what it says«.

The director of the diamond brand recalled that in 2010, Valladolid put its future on the line and now has a new value chain. “We have worked at Renault Spain and as a result we have a full hybridization center, we have put the body back on the map and we have this whole family of SUVs,” he added.

On this point,
is “proud” of the new Austral, which has been described as the Group’s “most-made in Spain” car. “We have a future in a very uncertain time, but in Spain we know how to suffer and we are working to open a future for ourselves,” he added.

“At the Renault Group, we keep our promises, four industrial plans underline our commitment to this country. This place will further increase the pride of belonging to our teams and I am sure it will also increase the social pride in the brand and in the automotive sector in general,” he added.

De los Mozos recalled the dedication of the brand
without emissions, with 2025 as the horizon to achieve this in its “decarbonisation commitment”. It has also pointed out that energy consumption at its plants has been reduced by 12 percent between 2021 and 2022, with most of the electricity coming from renewable sources.

While presenting the spot, González Para reminded that Renault in Spain has everything it takes for Spaniards to enjoy an Austral. “We have everything Renault needs to develop these and future vehicles in Spain,” he explained, explaining the “important role” that its more than a thousand engineers have played in the manufacture of the vehicle.

For his part,
Martin Vega He has emphasized that the Austral could only be produced in Palencia because of the “demand”. In that sense, he explained that new drawing, welding, integration, painting and assembly lines have been built in. “We have a duty to produce a quality vehicle to satisfy the customers,” and so, he continued, 150 vehicles were tested over more than two million kilometers to provide the “maximum performance.”

Finally,
guigues has described the Austral as a “winning car” to compete in the largest segment in Spain,
the one with the SUVswhich represents 50 percent of sales in this market, which also highlights that this model is one of the “few vehicles” to have the Eco label in all its versions.
