How to rescue a motorist in an emergency?

Did you know that every minute a person spends in cardiac arrest loses a 10% chance of survival? Or that correctly performed CPR has a 20 times greater chance of survival than incorrectly performed CPR? Or that massive haemorrhage is the first preventable cause of death in the world, even in a traffic accident? In that sense, it is vital that the motorists’ collective
specific health concepts and techniques measures to help a motorcyclist in an emergency on the road.

User training and awareness are essential when it comes to preventing or minimizing accidents, but it is equally or more important to know how to act in an emergency.

The Honda Institute of Safety (HIS), hand in hand with the organization specializing in health emergencies Rescuebike, thus completes its training program with the new theoretical/practical first aid course for motorcyclists, in which all first aid equipment is provided, that is that assessments, measures and acts performed in the same place of the events before the relevant medical assistance arrives and the purpose of which is the survival of the injured person or the reduction of the severity of the injuries suffered.

The training, given by
George Martin, a rescue and lifeguard technician and CEO of Rescuebike for over 10 years, takes four face-to-face hours and two virtual hours. During the four face-to-face hours, the necessary theoretical explanation is given with the appropriate practice of each block. Individuals enrolled in this training must have pre-read the material sent to them in digital format.

Once all participants have
theoretical/practical part of the training in the four face-to-face hours, the training is concluded with the final simulations in which the participants are tested on the acquired knowledge. After performing the exercises, the students receive the official certificate from the foundation and the ‘Stop the bleed’ program.

In the
course applies basic concepts and concepts (GPS, urgency/emergency, CPR, infarction, haemorrhage), bleeds are assessed and how to identify them, bleed management techniques, wound wrapping and Israeli dressing, tourniquet placement, airway assessment and basic management (Guedel placement, nasopharyngeal cannula), thoracic trauma assessment and plaster placement, prevention of hypothermia in injured patients, resuscitation with active massive hemorrhage and operative IFAK: what it is, what it wears and how to wear it (individual first aid kit).

The price of the First Aid course for motorcyclists has a
cost of 60 euros and the first conversation will take place on
