It is the most powerful one launched by the Madrid City Council on public roads in the city, capable of charging an electric car in 10 to 20 minutes.
Repsol and the Madrid City Council have inaugurated a new charging center for 100% renewable electricity in the city of Madrid. This new facility, located in the
area of the bullring Las Ventashas eight parking spaces for electric vehicles with different charging points ranging from 150 kW, the most powerful public road charging point in the capital Madrid, to 22 kW.
With this ultra-fast charging point, the
charge an electric car up to 80% in a time between 10 and 20 minutes.
In addition, this new center has a fast charging point with a capacity of up to 50 kW, which can charge a car in about 30 minutes; as well as two other dual chargers, each rated at up to 22kW, which can charge much of an electric car’s battery capacity in about an hour and a half.
The origin of the electricity is 100% renewable and any 100% electric plug-in hybrid vehicle can be charged at these points, as the installation includes standard connectors set by the European Union (CCS-Combo, CHadeMO and Mennekes). The equipment ensures an optimal distribution of the available power in the installation over the various vehicles that can be connected at the same time.
The charging stations will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and users will be able to manage their electric vehicle charging through Waylet, Repsol’s leading mobility and payment app in Spain, which has more than 5.5 million registered customers.
