The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade stands out with its powerful, high-speed four-cylinder in-line engine

With the competition, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade was born. And the competition never rests. The impressive new high-speed four-cylinder in-line engine features upgrades that increase acceleration out of corners and traction on the rear wheels. Inspired by MotoGP, the chassis and aerodynamics combine for blazing-fast handling and precise, powerful braking, while advanced electronics put full and total control directly in the rider’s hands. The racetrack is Fireblade territory.

The fuel tank and lid are placed low on an extremely compact frame and engine to aid squatting, while the small front section of the fairing also reduces drag. The position of the fins generates the same downforce as the 2018 MotoGP machine, to reduce front wheel lift under acceleration and increase stability under braking and cornering. Even the smallest detail of HRC reaches the CBR1000RR-R; the lower fairing extends close to the rear tire and channels air downward, reducing drag in the dry and channeling water in the wet, improving grip.

New upgrades include a 43-tooth rear sprocket and optimizations for the airbox, intake ports and exhaust. So with the massive peak power already available, you now also have extra low to mid range for powerful acceleration out of corners. And of course he has MotoGP technology under control; This 1,000cc inline four-cylinder engine, with a high-speed 160 kW (217 hp) at 14,500 rpm, takes much of its internal design from the RC213V race bike, with semi-cam gearing, titanium connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons and identical bore and battle.

A special engine calls for a special chassis. The balance of rigidity of the diamond-shaped aluminum frame and RCV213V-derived swingarm, weight distribution and steering geometry work together to deliver precise handling, tire grip and most importantly, feedback and tact.

Through the 5-inch TFT display, engine power, brakes and wheel lift control can be fully adjusted to the rider’s personal preference; three riding modes also offer standard default settings.
