A car crashed into a bus stop in the center of the Slovak capital Bratislava on Monday evening, killing at least four people. At least seven other people were injured, police and firefighters said.
At the bus stop on the edge of the historic old town, countless people waited for buses to Petrzalka, the most populous district south of the Danube.
No indication of a terrorist act
It was initially unclear why the car drove into the waiting crowd. According to media reports unconfirmed by the police, the driver was said to have been intoxicated. Initially, there were no indications of terrorist intent.
