The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, announced on Tuesday that in 2023 the free subscriptions of Renfe de Cercanías, Rodalies and Media Distancia will be maintained.
During the press conference after the Council of Ministers to present the general state budget for 2023, Montero put forward that Renfe will receive 700 million to extend this measure that has been in effect since September last year.
The measure was part of the package of initiatives launched to promote energy conservation in the context of the war in Ukraine.
