Two boys (17 and 18) handled a firearm at a train station in the Lavanttal in Carinthia on Thursday night. Several shots were even fired. The special unit Eko Cobra has moved.
On Thursday around 9 p.m., the two Wolfsbergers were working with the initially unknown firearm near the St. Paul station in the Lavanttal. “The 17-year-old fired three shots vertically into the air,” said a police officer. The boys then went to the waiting room, where the 18-year-old took the gun from his jacket pocket to unload and secure it, according to his own statements.
A passing train driver observed the Wolfsbergers and warned the station master. “When he wanted to speak to the boys, they fled, after which the manager lodged a complaint,” said an official.
Successful instant search
A search was immediately launched with several police patrols and the Eko Cobra. Both the 17-year-old and his boyfriend were found at their respective residential addresses. “In addition to the alarm pistol used, more than 100 rounds of ammunition, drugs and narcotics were found in the 18-year-old’s apartment,” police said.
The Wolfsbergers were reported and a provisional arms ban was issued.
