A traffic accident occurred on the A1 (Westautobahn) on Saturday around 4 p.m. with a 35-year-old alcoholic driver. The Slovakian from the Zell am See district drove her car near Oberwang towards Vienna around 4 pm. Her five-year-old daughter was in the back seat. About 600 meters after the end of an oncoming traffic, she wanted to overtake the car of a 48-year-old from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district.

It ended up in the left lane, collided head on with the concrete central guardrail and then came to a stop in the opposite direction of travel. The Slovak’s vehicle was turned over several times as a result of the collision and came to a stop in the middle of two lanes.

A breath analysis test showed that the Slovak had 1.62 per mille. In addition, during her investigation she stated that she was driving in the construction site area at a permitted speed of 80 kilometers per hour at 140 kilometers per hour. Her driver’s license was taken away.
