A traffic accident occurred on the A1 (Westautobahn) on Saturday around 4 p.m. with a 35-year-old alcoholic driver. The Slovakian from the Zell am See district drove her car near Oberwang towards Vienna around 4 pm. Her five-year-old daughter was in the back seat. About 600 meters after the end of an oncoming traffic, she wanted to overtake the car of a 48-year-old from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district.

She lost control of the car and collided with the man’s car. It ended up in the left lane, collided head on with the concrete central guardrail and then came to a stop in the opposite direction of travel. The Slovak’s vehicle was turned over several times as a result of the collision and came to a stop in the middle of two lanes.
1.62 per mille
A breath analysis test showed that the Slovak had 1.62 per mille. In addition, during her investigation she stated that she was driving in the construction site area at a permitted speed of 80 kilometers per hour at 140 kilometers per hour. Her driver’s license was taken away.
