After a serious rear-end collision in Linz’s Bindermichl tunnel (Upper Austria), a 79-year-old woman was hit by a car. Police officers caught the lady waiting for the breakdown service in Ansfelden.
On Easter Sunday at noon, a 78-year-old German sent her car south on the A7. In the Bindermichl tunnel, the convoy came to a stop in heavy traffic on the second lane, forcing them to stop their car with an emergency brake. A 79-year-old from the Linz-Land district who was driving behind her could not stop her car in time and a rear-end collision ensued.
Hospitalized in Linz
The woman suffered injuries of unknown nature. She was taken to a hospital in Linz. The 78-year-old was uninjured and drove on without contact with the injured person. Only after waiting there for the breakdown service with her badly damaged car, was she able to meet a police patrol in the parking lot of the Ansfelden motorway. The 78-year-old is shown.
