The labor reform gave six months to pass this rule, which aims to give rights to hundreds of thousands of young people and put an end to the figure of the false trainee.
The second vice president of the Spanish government and minister of laborYolanda Díaz, has announced that next Friday she will bring the social agents together to start drafting the scholarship holder statuswhich will provide hundreds of thousands of young people with a catalog of rights.
In an interview on TVE, Díaz explained that the Ministry of Labor has summoned the employers’ associations CEOE and Cepyme and the unions UGT and CC.OO. at the table of the social dialogue to negotiate this statute, that the labor reform has a term of six months to get approved.
With this “comprehensive” rule, Díaz said, it will protect “hundreds of thousands of young people forced through the abuse of often fraudulent employment formulas”.
“We’re going to have a broad view, first telling the people who are the subject of this modality that they have a… catalog of rightsFor example, according to which they can receive an expense allowance if they use their own mobile phone and laptop during their performance, he explained.
It is also intended to give them social security rights and finish the figure of the fake intern while they “actually occupy structural jobs”, something Díaz has considered “the scourge of insecurity that plagues the youth in Spain”.
