On Friday evening, wild scenes took place in the center of Innsbruck: a 17-year-old resident driving her friend’s mother’s car became the target of a police patrol in a driving-ban area. When the teen saw the officers, she hit the gas, drove through red lights and finally crashed into a tree near a shopping mall. According to detectives, the suspect was drunk!
Just after 7:30 p.m., the 17-year-old resident drove a car on Museumstrasse in Innsbruck, where – with the exception of public transport and taxis – there is a strict driving ban. Also on board: your friend, whose mother owns the car.
Without light over red traffic lights
The car was targeted by the police. However, the young driver ignored the blue lights and all stop signals. What followed was a chase through the inner city! During her “daring ride”, the suspect ignored red traffic lights, turned off her headlights and raced towards Marktgraben and across the Innrain, where she hit a car parked at the roadside.
At shopping center against tree
She then turned onto the university bridge and continued to flee in the direction of Höttinger Au before crashing into a tree at a shopping centre. The fast driver and passenger were unharmed. However, the car was badly damaged.
Trial license gone
According to the police, an alcohol test on the holder of the test driving license was positive. She had to hand in the ticket on the spot. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
