In India, a man has died trying to take a selfie with wild elephants. The 27-year-old man succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Meanwhile, in the Indian state of Bihar, wild elephants charged through a village, causing serious damage (see video above).
The 27-year-old saw two elephants coming out of a forest in the southern state of Tamil Nadu and decided to take pictures, the Times of India reported on Wednesday citing a local forest ranger.
Then one of the animals came up to him and trampled him. Neighbors notified the forest authority, who then expelled the pachyderms. Incidents of people dying while taking selfies with wildlife still occur in India.
Meanwhile, there was a shock to villagers in the Indian state of Bihar. Several elephants made their way through the streets – some houses were badly damaged.
