Plenty of sun, up to 25 degrees and – for many at least – a long weekend: according to weather experts, Austria is looking forward to a wonderful Pentecost weekend. The weather situation is not expected to change again until Tuesday, but any thunderstorms will form quite small and it will remain warm.
It is am along and north of the Alps Freitag only partly sunny from the morning, as low cloud banks can make themselves felt again and again. In most cases it remains dry, only occasionally short rain showers are possible during the day. On the south side of the Alps, the sun shines longer in some regions before some larger cumulus clouds form, especially from noon. The tendency for short showers remains relatively low even above the mountains. The wind is partly blowing strongly from the north, especially on the eastern edge of the Alps, but remains weak in many regions. Temperatures range from seven to 14 degrees in the morning and rise to 18 to 24 degrees during the day.
It’s daytime then Saturday in addition to high, thin cloud fibers, there are also mostly sunny, flat cumulus clouds without precipitation in the mountains. A strong north wind is blowing in the far east. Six to 13 degrees in the morning hours give way to maximum daytime temperatures between 17 and 25 degrees, with the highest values in the extreme west and south.
The high-pressure influence is then switched on Pentecost Sunday to control the weather. The sun is shining brightly and during the day often only flat cumulus clouds form. Only in the mountains can cumulus clouds thicken in the afternoon and bring isolated thunderstorms. It is generally only slightly windy. Six to 11 degrees becomes 20 to 26 degrees during the day, with the higher values in the west.
Ben White Monday high-pressure influence remains dominant. This means that there are many hours of sunshine in all parts of the country and stable, dry weather outside the mountains. In the afternoon, powerful cumulus clouds sometimes pile up over the mountains and form isolated small-scale rain showers or thunderstorms. The wind is blowing weakly from north to east with morning temperatures of 8 to 14 degrees and daily maxima of 20 to 26 degrees.
Ben Tuesday little changes in the weather. The sun shines broadly before cumulus clouds slowly form in the afternoon and afternoon. In mountain and hill areas, the chance of rain and thunderstorms increases slightly, but isolated, small-scale shower cubicles are created. Away from the mountains, it remains largely free of precipitation. The wind is weak to moderate from north to east. Eight to fifteen degrees are expected in the morning hours, maximum daytime temperatures are predicted at 20 to 27 degrees.
