A large contingent of emergency services, including about 20 Red Cross paramedics, has treated three injured people after a serious traffic accident on Mooskirchner Straße in Gießenberg. Two ambulance vehicles and an ambulance helicopter were deployed, among other things.
At around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, two motorcycles collided on Mooskirchnerstraße near Gießenberg. As a result of the collision, two people fell onto a field next to the road and one person remained on the road. The rescue center in Styria mainly alerted four first responders, the ambulance helicopter Christophorus 12, three ambulances from the districts of Voitsberg and Graz and the ambulance vehicle Voitsberg. The fire service and police were also notified.
“All the injured could be addressed on arrival,” says Marcel Hausegger of the Red Cross. However, a 45-year-old woman had to be put into artificial deep sleep on the spot before being flown by emergency helicopter to Graz University Hospital. Another person was seriously injured and another slightly injured.
