The escalating gang war in Sweden has claimed another life, according to media reports. As Stockholm police announced on Sunday evening, a man between the ages of 40 and 50 was shot in the western suburb of Råcksta. The perpetrators are being sought.
Media links the case to criminal gangs. Recently, several people were shot dead in just over a week in Stockholm and the northern city of Uppsala.
Experts speak of a revenge spiral
Accordingly, shots were also fired at apartments where the mother-in-law or father-in-law of a known criminal who had fled to Turkey and known as “The Kurdish Fox” was registered. They were not injured.
Sweden has been struggling for years with conflict between rival gangs over drug and human trafficking, with repeated shootings and deliberate explosions.
