While lonely hearts still hope to find their dream partner through Tinder and Co., the results of a new study from the US suggest that it would be better for mutual happiness and satisfaction to get to know each other in person. Why this is so and what can help against the ‘online dating effect’.

Gone are the days when couples met on a night out, through friends or at work. 27 percent of all pots now find the right lid online – be it through dating apps or portals such as Tinder, Badoo, Parship, ElitePartner or Lovoo, which are the most popular among seekers in this country. But new research suggests that classic bar flirting may have been better in the past.
