A tanker truck full of 30,000 liters of milk crashed into a residential building in Lower Austria. The driver suffered undetermined injuries and the building was significantly damaged.
The unusually fast milk delivery resulted in emergency services being deployed in the Amstetten district: on Thursday evening, a tanker truck went off the road in Kematen an der Ybbs. He then broke through a fence and eventually crashed full force into a residential building.
Driver injured
The driver was injured in the accident and required medical attention. There was significant damage to the truck and building.
Thousands of liters of milk
The comrades had to pump away several thousand liters of milk and recover the tanker with a crane. Three fire brigades worked for hours. The road was temporarily closed to traffic during the work.
