Fatal recreational accident in the Axamer Lizum Friday! An unknown snowboarder collided with a German skier (23) who had fallen to the ground. The winter sports enthusiast had to be cared for by the Tyrolean piste rescue team.
The accident happened around 11 a.m. The 23-year-old wanted to avoid a snowboarder on the women’s descent. “She fell and the snowboarder collided with the woman lying on the slope,” police said. The woman suffered a cut and injury to her knee in the accident.
Looking for witnesses
After receiving initial care from the pister rescue team, the German sought medical help herself. Meanwhile, the snowboarder ran away after just a brief stop. The police are therefore still looking for the unknown winter sports enthusiast or witnesses to the accident. The wanted man is approximately 1.80 meters tall, has a heavy build, was dressed in dark clothing and wore a black helmet.
