A 66-year-old local resident was trapped in her car after she collided with a local train at a level crossing in St. Georgen im Attergau. She was taken to hospital, but the passengers and the train driver (47) were lucky.
The 66-year-old from St. Georgen im Attergau was driving her car during lunch. At the same time, the slow train, driven by a 47-year-old, also drove towards Attersee. For unknown reasons, the train and car collided at a railroad crossing.

The collision was so violent that the 66-year-old was trapped in her car and firefighters had to free her from the wreckage before she was taken to hospital.
However, the occupants of the slow train – there were probably very few – and the driver were unharmed. Both vehicles subsequently had to be recovered.
