A new “multiple-shot” shooting in the United States this Thursday left victims at a funeral at Graceland Cemetery in Racine, about 30 miles south of Milwaukee, the largest city in the state of Wisconsin.

“At 2:26 p.m. local time, multiple shots were fired at Graceland Cemetery. There are casualties, but it is unknown at this time how many. The scene is still active and under investigation,” Racine police said on Twitter.

On the other hand, the governor, Tony Evers, has explained on his Twitter account that he has been following this Thursday’s shooting in Racine and has reached out to his local partners to offer support. “While we await additional information, we pray that all involved survive and recover. Armed violence must stop,” he said.

This event happened a day after a gunman killed his surgeon and three other people at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

On May 24, another shooting killed at least 21, including 19 children and two adults, at Robb Elementary School in the southern United States town of Uvalde, Texas.

A man killed two women and later committed suicide this Thursday night in the parking lot of “Cornerstone” Church in the city of Ames, Iowa, in the second shooting of the day in the United States and following the lead of the United States President Joe Biden’s request to Congress to ban assault weapons in the country.

The shooting took place shortly before 7 p.m. (local time) and when officers arrived on the scene they found two women and a man dead, the city’s police chief Nicholas Lennie confirmed and as reported by US network NBC News.

The man has been identified as the prime suspect and there is no threat to the community, Lennie added.
