Elon Musk’s ‘Starship’ will launch on June 5

Date:

SpaceX, the company of American billionaire Elon Musk, is aiming for the fourth test flight of its super rocket “Starship”, the largest rocket system ever built in space history, on June 5.

However, the launch date has not yet been set as the company still needs to obtain regulatory approval – specifically the approval of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to change the launch license of the “Starship”.

Rocket burns up during third test flight
Earlier this year, SpaceX nearly completed a full test flight through space with the rocket on its third attempt. After getting further than ever before, the ‘Starship’ burned up in its atmosphere as it returned to Earth.

Should make flights to the moon and Mars possible
The ‘Starship’ – it consists of an approximately 70 meter long ‘Super Heavy’ booster and an approximately 50 meter long upper stage (also called ‘Starship’) – is intended to enable manned missions to the Moon and Mars. The system is designed so that both the spacecraft and the rocket can be reused after return to Earth.

The 122 meter long system will be able to transport more than 100 tons of freight in the future. With the ‘Starship’, NASA wants to bring astronauts to Earth’s satellite again.
