This private conversation would be added to conversations Biden has also had along similar lines with Senate Democratic leaders, Chuck Schumerand in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries (Pelosi successor).
Both Schumer and Jeffries warned Biden that his candidacy would endanger the current Democratic majority in the Senate and make it difficult to win back the House of Representatives, according to The Washington Post.
These three conversations took place last week, before the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump (2017-2021), but only in the past few hours were they leaked to the US media.
