The “Starliner” probe is making strange noises

Date:

The ‘Starliner’ capsule currently docked with the ISS space station is causing problems for NASA, forcing two astronauts to stay in space longer than planned. Now it has been revealed that the spacecraft has started making strange, spooky knocking noises…

Just over a week ago, the US space agency and aircraft manufacturer Boeing postponed the return of the crew of the space capsule “Starliner” until further notice – reports krone.at. Due to problems with the engines and helium leaks, they were considering flying the capsule back to Earth without a crew and with the help of an autopilot.

Over the weekend, astronaut Barry Eugene “Butch” Wilmore, who launched the “Starliner” to humanity’s space outpost on June 5 along with astronaut Suni Williams, reported to NASA’s Johnson Space Center ground station in Houston that he was hearing a “strange noise” coming from the spacecraft.

Noise is reminiscent of science fiction movies
In an audio recording of the conversation, Wilmore holds a phone up to the speakers so that Mission Control can hear the sound (heard in the video above) he’s referring to. At regular intervals, an eerie metal thumping sound can be heard, reminiscent of sounds in science fiction movies.

“Butch, that came through,” Mission Control said after they didn’t hear the sound the first time. “It was kind of a pulsing sound, almost like a sonar ping.” “I’ll play it again so you can scratch your head and see if you can figure out what’s going on,” Wilmore replied to the ground control station as he played the tone. Re-recorded it.

The cause is still unclear to NASA
The sound is coming from a speaker on the Starliner, Wilson reports. The ground station explained to him that his recording would be forwarded and that they would let him know what they learned. Fox News has reached out to NASA and Boeing to see if the source of the sound has been identified, but has not yet received a response.

According to a statement from experts, it is possible that the sounds coming from the speakers in the “Starliner” are acoustic feedback loops. The exact nature and origin of the knocking sound, which also resembles underwater sonar location signals, is still unclear.
