Culture lovers and those hungry for knowledge will once again get their money’s worth during the “ORF Long Night of Museums”. From Lake Constance to Lake Neusiedler See: in addition to small, curious and large, renowned cultural institutions, many new locations are taking part for the 24th time and are waiting to be discovered by visitors. One of the sights is the globally unique Nonseum in Herrnbaumgarten (Lower Austria). The art of failure with useless inventions is celebrated here. In Kitzbühel (Tyrol), the Krampus Museum offers insight into Alpine customs.
And in the Small Sanitary Museum in Leibnitz (Stemk.) visitors can immerse themselves in a fascinating journey through the age of hygiene. From 6 p.m., young and old can spend the night in various museums – all with just one ticket for 17 euros. The reduced price for pupils, students, seniors, people with disabilities, military personnel and Ö1 members is 14 euros.
There are meeting points with shuttle buses in the state capitals. Children up to 12 years old have free admission.
