Thanks to a parking sheriff in Vienna-Favoriten, the police have arrested a serial thief. On Friday, the parking enforcement service noticed a car on Karmarschgasse that had been reported stolen and alerted the police.
There was a man there who initially gave the officers a false name. The occupant was soon identified as a German, already wanted for the theft of this car, which was seized on October 11.
Stolen items found in locker
The 53-year-old had information about a locker at the central station. There, investigators found other stolen items, such as a wallet.
The stolen goods were seized. The arrested man refused to testify. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, South Division, has now taken over the further investigation.
