Spies in the Kremlin: – ‘Putin doesn’t have long life ahead of him’

Date:

Ukraine has a network of spies in the Kremlin, according to Ukrainian military intelligence official Kyrylo Budanov. According to the head of the spy, the agents work in the Russian presidential administration, in the parliament and in various departments of the Moscow secret services. Now Budanov unpacks and reveals rare information about the war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian intelligence officer predicted in an interview with USA Today that if Ukraine continues to receive substantial military aid from its allies, Ukraine will achieve crucial “victories” in its four-month war with Russia from mid-August, which “will” will be clear to the world community”.

Predictions have come true
In an interview last November, Budanov predicted that by the end of 2021 Russia would gradually escalate a series of false flag provocations as a pretext for invasion, leading to an energy crisis, economic turmoil and food insecurity in countries dependent on the Ukrainian exports. All these things have now actually happened.

In addition, the intelligence chief gave more details about the two American volunteer fighters captured by the Russian army and who, according to the Kremlin, face the death penalty: “We are working on it,” Budanov said. “Solving the problem is not easy, but we see an opportunity. It will be more or less a prisoner swap. We have people available that the Russians really want, who really need to have them back.” According to him, the exchange will not take place in a week or two, but more like a few months.

“Not a long life ahead”
In addition, according to Budanov, there is information from Ukrainian sources in the Kremlin showing that Russian President Vladimir Putin suffers from several “serious” illnesses and “does not have a long life ahead of him”. Budanov said his office believes Putin will die from these diseases within two years. However, the chief of the agent was unable to provide concrete evidence of Putin’s health.

Budanov declined to comment on what Ukraine’s expected “victories” would look like, saying only that the Kiev government was “working to restore its territorial integrity step by step”. However, the intelligence officer also acknowledged that future victories depended on military aid from Western partners. He went on to predict that “hostilities will wane by the end of winter” and that “fighting will likely bottom out early next year.”

Spy chief speaks openly about operations
It is highly unusual for a country’s intelligence chief to speak so candidly about espionage operations, and it was not immediately clear why Budanov would reveal specific information about where the Ukrainian agents are based. Russia and Ukraine are fighting each other not only on the battlefield, but also in an information war.
