But how are these partial amounts actually calculated? The “Krone” asked and had to realize that for many customers there will be a rough awakening.
Huge confusion about the new Wien Energie prices in effect since September 1. A customer who is now prescribed 160 euros ten times a year instead of the previous 99 euros, asked customer service how the partial amounts were calculated. On hold for 25 minutes (!) but talking to the Wien Energie service employee couldn’t clear up the confusion.
The short version: The new requirement was set too high, but refers to the old energy consumption price of 11.4 cents/kWh, which will rise to 28.9 cents/kWh on September 1, giving an overall increase of 24 percent. Do you only understand the train station?
Electricity bill coffee house exploded to 9,182 euros
Not an isolated case. The operator of a coffee house in Simmering paid EUR 4,288 for twelve months of electricity and gas from another provider last year, and Wien Energie will charge him EUR 3,910 from September – quarterly! How this high sum is composed is written in the stars. The manager of the traditional Viennese coffee house “Hummel” also moans: her electricity bill has exploded from 2976 euros to 9182 euros. She doesn’t know how to bear this economic burden. Restorer Martina Haslinger-Spitzer: “There is an urgent need for a brake on energy costs.”
Private customers are also threatened with significant additional payments
For companies and for private households! Because a question at Wien Energie about the specific calculation of the new regulations leads to the following shock: “The partial amounts are always calculated on the basis of the rate applicable at the time of the annual statement and taking into account the last annual consumption reported by the Wiener Netze. to us,” said one speaker.
