Financing for “Get off oil and gas” increased, including for individual apartments.
The Ministry of Climate Change has increased subsidies for all applications submitted after September 12, 2022 or later: owners and tenants of individual apartments in multi-storey areas can also apply to “Raus aus Öl und Gas” if they bear the costs .
The lump sum subsidy for switching to central heating systems has been increased from 2,300 to 3,000 euros and you can also get a ‘Go off gas’ allowance of 600 euros.
A new surcharge applies for switching from gas to district heating, heat pumps or wood heating. For houses that is 2000 euros. In multi-storey residential buildings, the subsidy varies depending on the size of the system, but is (for less than 50 kW) a minimum of 2000 euros (upper limit 11,000 euros for the whole house). At 50-100 kW that is 3200 euros (up to 17,000 euros), above 100 kW then 4,000 euros (maximum 23,000 euros). It should be noted that depending on the federal state, there may be other additional resources.
“Switching to a clean heating system is easier and more attractive than ever,” said Minister Gewessler. There must be enough money: 1.14 billion euros has been reserved for the replacement of the heating system for the years 2023 to 2025. In total, one million Austrians currently heat with gas. 600,000 households have heating oil.
