The government gives in and eases the pressure on the energy companies. The congressional Committee on Economic Affairs on Thursday approved two amendments from the PNV and PDeCAT, exempting both regulated trade and energy companies’ income generated outside Spain from the sector tax with which the executive wanted to raise 4,000 euros. million euros in two years.

The agreement between the groups and the coalition partners means that the tax will not even be applied to any form of supply at a regulated price. The text specifically mentions TUR for gas, PVPC for electricity, bottled LPG and piped LPG.

Likewise, the regulated revenues of the transmission and distribution networks of electricity and natural gas do not apply.
